The Emmy-nominated director, artist, and storyteller is now the creative heart of Encantos, a world-class entertainment brand for children inspired by a world of cultures. As Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Encantos, she creates the vision and sets the bar for brilliant stories with captivating and diverse characters that will endure the test of time. In fact, the kids’ entertainment empire has been listed as one of Fast Company’s “World’s Most Innovative Companies” for 2021.

A Latina of impact creates a wave of positive influence in her community and beyond through her life’s work.
How does your WHY play a role in your mission, vision, and work you do in this world?
I’m an artist and a storyteller who loves who we are as a people and has built a business around world-class story-based franchise brands that celebrate and elevate culture, strengthening the Latino community’s morale so that our children will grow up inspired and proud of who they are, and the rest of the world can also see the magic in us.
What is your vision for Latinas in your respective space, and how do you see supporting emerging Latinas who also want to make an impact like yourself?:
Know yourself well. Lean into your strengths and connect with kindred spirits who complement and appreciate your skill sets. Have a growth mindset and learn from everybody (older and younger!) Work hard and become the best at what you do. Be true to yourself and the little voice inside you. Go on a journey that will allow you to find the problem that you are uniquely qualified to solve. If you trust yourself and work hard, you will undoubtedly have an impact.
