Taher is a serial tech entrepreneur and an Accelerate with Google Academy alumna. She is a technology & finance contributor for CNN en Español. Taher is currently a Managing Partner at Business Taps, a cannabis real estate investment company, at Printing Ladies, an LA-based business offering garment manufacturing and at CannaBiz Developers, a cannabis licensing & compliance company.
She has served in various communications, marketing and business development capacities, working with Fortune 500 corporations and international companies such as Televisa (Mexico), Univision Networks, Globo (Brazil), and the Digicel Group. In the past, IBM tapped her to conduct business intelligence in Latin American Argentina, Mexico and Brazil for the penetration of IBM’s affinity groups in those markets.
Taher holds a B.A. and a Master’s degree in Cinema & Media Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and is an active member of the Latin American Task Force at the American Jewish Committee (AJC). She is also a board member at the Astraea Foundation, a charity that disburses funds for LGBT groups in 194 countries. Her mission is to help eradicate the gender gap in the technology and finance world. She is proficient in English, Persian, Spanish and Portuguese.
