Denise D. Hernandez is a Texas lawyer and Co-Founder of Hustle for the Cause, LLC, a social impact production firm owned and operated by LGBTQ women of color. As a first-generation college graduate from the University of the Incarnate Word, she earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and later earned her law degree from the Texas Tech School of Law. Her humble beginnings fueled her passion for community activism, and Hernandez continues to use her legal background to create spaces of empowerment. Since launching Hustle for the Cause, Hernandez has been nationally recognized by PBS for her social impact work and honored as an Anne McAfee Leader of Cultural Change in Central Texas. In 2018, Hernandez also founded Chingona Fest Texas, a social impact festival and conference that celebrates Latinx creatives and entrepreneurs. Her vision is to produce events and content that inspire young women of color to become ChangeMakers!
