Folk Project travels Central America looking for traditional textiles to create a refreshing design unique to the space where global traditions meet modern lifestyle. Each of their pieces tells a story. All of their custom furniture and accessories are made from a raw material known as the Huipil -  an essential piece of Guatemalan and Mexican traditional costumes, and Frazadas, aguayos,(wool blankets from Peru) . By featuring the traditional fabric in the world of modern living, they hope to showcase the stories of the women who weave it on a global platform and give them the acknowledgement they deserve.
