Alejandra Espinoza returns as the host for the second season of Latin music-sensation show, Univision Network’s “La Banda”. “La Banda” is the search for the ultimate Latino super group and, this time, both boys and girls are able to join.
Espinoza co-hosted season eight of “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty), the hit Univision reality beauty competition that she herself won in its 2007 inaugural season, guiding young Hispanic women on their quest to follow in her footsteps.
In addition, Espinoza was a spokesmodel on Univision’s hit show "Sábado Gigante," the longest running variety show in the history of television, which is hosted by the internationally acclaimed showman Don Francisco.
She has appeared as a guest co-host on the popular entertainment news program “El Gordo y La Flaca” (The Scoop and the Skinny), “Premio Lo Nuestro” Latin Music Awards, “Premios Juventud” (Youth Awards), and the Latin GRAMMY® Awards, among others.
Previously, Espinoza competed in several beauty pageants, such as “Nuestra Belleza México” (Our Mexican Beauty), where she placed fourth runner up.
Espinoza was honored at the 2013 “Premios TVyNovelas” with the award for “Best Female Host.”
One of ten siblings, Espinoza and her family emigrated from Mexico ten years ago and settled in San Ysidro, California. Espinoza currently resides in Miami with her husband and son.
