Karla Ortiz is a digital marketing strategist. During her stint with Verve Music Group, she developed successful global campaigns for legendary artists, including Andrea Bocelli, Rod Stewart, Mary J. Blige and more. As an integral member of the digital team at baby lifestyle brand Munchkin Inc, she has initiated multicultural product campaigns to amplify their clever, innovative products.
In 2009, when Virgin America launched WiFi on all its flights, Ortiz planned and participated in one of the company's first in-air live Q&A's with the DJ duo Crystal Method. Her public relations expertise also made it possible to secure major features in the Wall Street Journal, the Huffington Post, NPR, Billboard and Yahoo!. This past year, she was responsible for expanding Munchkin Inc's social media presence and ambassador network through strategic amplification campaigns with Latina mom bloggers and cross promotional opportunities. Ortiz believes in promoting the multicultural lifestyle and the Latina brand, which is why she suggested having the first ever Latina mom blogger summit at Munchkin’s Headquarters.
