Patty Rodriguez is a mother, radio producer, jewelry designer, creator and co-founder of the bilingual children's book publisher Lil' Libros.
The artsy and modern bilingual children’s books, which can be found at Target stores across the country, are inspired by Patty's own experience trying to find bilingual first concept books that she could enjoy reading to her baby and her desire to connect her son to his Latino cultural roots.
Born in Los Angeles to Mexican immigrant parents, Patty has dedicated a significant part of her life to giving back to her community.
Patty’s goal is to inspire young Latinos and show them that with hard work everything is possible. She wants young Latinos to be proud of where they come from, as well as love and take care of this country.
When she's not raising her beautiful children, Alexander and Oliver, she's busy running her own successful jewelry line Patty Rodriguez Jewelry, which is now being sold at forever21.com, and working as a senior producer of the internationally syndicated radio show, "On Air With Ryan Seacrest."
In 2015, she created a petition asking makeup giant MAC Cosmetics to create a line to honor the late Selena Quintanilla. The petition, which got over 30,000 signatures in a matter of days, received national coverage in English and Spanish. It got the attention of MAC Cosmetics, which agreed that Selena deserves such honor.
Patty and her work have been featured in Forbes, Washington Post, LA Times, Vogue, Buzzfeed, Univision, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, CNN Latino, Latina Magazine, Cosmopolitan, People En Espanol, Cosmo Latina and American Latino TV to name a few.
