Have you ever had the dry-cleaners not have your dress ready? Or perhaps you were invited to a last minute event and your favorite dress needs to be washed? Do you ever wish you could wash all your clothes at home? Well, now Tide Pods®, through the Washable Fashion Initiative (aka #ModaLavable) is making it possible to wash and wear that dress on the day you want to...so you can look red carpet fabulous. Want an example? We've got one for you. Recently model and actress Maritza Rodriguez walked down People en Español's "Los 50 Más Bellos" wearing a gown designed by renowned British designer Giles Deacon. Giles, used washable fabrics such as nylon, lycra and polyester to resemble the look and feel of leather.
Last night, actress @maritzarodriguez graced @peopleenespanol's #50másbellos red carpet and wore a gorgeous #gilesdeacon gown. The best part? She can wash it at home! The dress is part of @tidelaundry pods #modalavable campaign. #LatinaBloggers will be sharing their washable red carpet worthy posts next week. Stay tuned!
We, at LBC, wanted to know what you thought about washable fashion -- so we threw a Bilingual Twitter Party and asked about your laundry habits, the fabrics you loved, your #ModaLavable style and ways in which washable fashion would make your life easier.
Now, we won't show you all 6,500 Tweets...we'll just give you a flavor of what we talked about that night!
